The Los Angeles Galaxy, founded in 1995, are probably the most high profile team in the MLS. The Galaxy, as they are known by their followers, commanded headlines across the world when they signed David Beckham from Real Madrid in 2007. They have won the MLS Cup three times, and the MLS Supporters' Shield four times.
